2025 will be our year, trust.

hi angels πŸͺ½

i haven't talked to y'all since last year (please laugh). but i am excited to see you guys this year and really make the most of 2025. i love the energy change every January because people are filled with hope, determination, and ambition.

i do hope it continues throughout the year, but as we all know, times get tough and sometimes we lose that spark. but right when the new year starts the warmth and joy of the holidays are still with us as we craft up new goals, new habits, and new ways to improve our lives.

this is one of the few things that i think will always exist, the ability of our spirit to go on to a new day and continue living even if all hell breaks loose (which is literally happening).

things I'm looking forward to + grateful for

i'm looking forward to:

  • starting the spring semester off strong and having a better study schedule
  • working on my personal CS project
  • seeing my college friends when i go back

i'm grateful for:

  • being able to rest during the break
  • having the opportunity to go to school without worry
  • being surrounded by friends and family

p.s. - would love to hear whatever you are looking forward to and are grateful for! don't be shy Reader, i don't bite πŸ˜›

social media:

so i changed my bio and i've been posting more on my instagram and tiktok.

side note: i use a new email now! hello@thelazygal.com. just realized i could get a domain email for free haha, but my old one thelazygal.blog@gmail.com is still working. so either works!

content, I've been enjoying

  • i've been curating my fyp so i see more study motivation so i just follow a lot of those creators now. it's good so even if i do take a break to "brain to", i'm lw motivated.
  • david goggins! i've been seeing his quotes everywhere and honestly, he's an icon. one of my favorites is: "So if you wake up in the morning and you don't want to do something you don't care enough about yourself." . i think tough motivation is important as well.

weekly tips

  • don't remove all distractions, remove the most tempting ones. for example, i'm only logged in to my "lazy gal" tiktok and not my personal so i don't really doom scroll because my feed is cimpletely different. don't delete all games or entertainment apps, add a screen time or a designated time to watch.
  • continue with the habit or passion even if you're not good. it's not that you're bad, you just started. every person who is great at something has been horrible at it. the only difference is that they continued.

media recommendations

  • i've been binging "monk" on Netflix because it's going away soon unfortunately. it's a detective show!
  • been wanting to read more self-motivation/improvement books, so reply with any recommendations.
  • been listening to older 2000s songs like "back to black" by amy winehouse.

upcoming events:

  • new video on how i plan for 2025 coming soon (if i ever edit it)
  • and hopefully, i'll record an episode while i'm at home!
  •

no fear . no shame . don't let something small get in the way of becoming someone big .

hi Reader ! february has treated me very well and i hope to bring the same good luck into march. one of my favorite things about march is the color scheme (my fave color is green πŸ˜›), the concept of good luck because who doesn't like good luck, and pi day (i LOVE pi day). it's also wonderful that it's women's history month and we can all learn about all the amazing women who have changed history in all fields. One of my favorites is Hedy Lamarr who developed the concept of spread spectrum...
