july: summer sun, internship, routines

hi angels,

turns out i wrote half of the may edition... i just never sent it! so sorry for all that, but i'm here now. Its been a busy few months with my first year of college ending, packing up and moving back home, celebrating my birthday, and starting my internship. the july 4th weekend was a good time to relax and also work on the next half of the year.

the heat is not as bad as it could be in california but i'm sure it will only get worse. there's a lot of changes going on, so if you follow me on socials you'll see me post my internship outfits to my RA training outfits at college.

recently i've started cooking more so i tried mochi ice cream (wasn't my best work) or lavash wraps or mango coconut chia seed pudding, ad a lot of other things.

things I'm looking forward to + grateful for

looking forward to:

  • moving back into college, and meeting new people at training!
  • going back to my college gym because it's so much bigger than my current one
  • hanging out with my hometown friends more, because college is always a hard time to see them :((

grateful for:

  • my summer internship! i'm learning a lot and i'm glad to have this experience to see what I don't like and what I do
  • securing housing for next year so I'm not stressed about it
  • all the new people i'm meeting at my internship!

ICYMI

  • no new episodes, sorry! I've been so busy with everything and honestly i haven't had any good ideas for podcast episodes, but i would love to hear some.
  • social media has been drier too i don't know how i was more consistent during college but now it's been a post maybe once a week
  • no new hair lab posts :(( i loved being their ambassador but because of recent tariffs and policy changes they're unable to afford ambassadors anymore.

weekly tips

  • start early, because any setbacks will just cause you to be on time
  • even if you don't know how to do it perfectly, do it now whether that be prep for interviews or for future courses.

media recommendations

  • me and my sister watch 911 every night and thats been our favorite thing to do
  • i recently read vicious which was a good book by v.e. schwab

upcoming events:

  • might have an exciting collaboration in august, i'll keep y'all updated!

do things that make you happy, even if they're silly

hi Reader ! february has treated me very well and i hope to bring the same good luck into march. one of my favorite things about march is the color scheme (my fave color is green 😛), the concept of good luck because who doesn't like good luck, and pi day (i LOVE pi day). it's also wonderful that it's women's history month and we can all learn about all the amazing women who have changed history in all fields. One of my favorites is Hedy Lamarr who developed the concept of spread spectrum...
